Caretaker
Biography
Caretaker formed at Alton College, Hampshire in 1998. They began by playing covers at events organised by the college but soon started writing their own material. Shortly after this they circulated a cobbled together demo, and this culminated in their first show at the Farnham Maltings in April 99.
They have since then released several records and received extensive play on Radio 1, including the great late John Peel (R.I.P), and have journeyed through music’s various pigeon-holes, travelling from indie through post-rock and heading towards a heavier, more progressive sound over the last couple of years.
